It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Rosalie Bee Crigger (née Heller).

Rosalie passed away at the age of 84, surrounded by her loving family on June 6, 2025, in Dublin, Ohio.

Born on April 12, 1941, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Rosalie graduated from Peabody High School. It was in Pittsburgh that she met her beloved husband, Donald Crigger, on a blind date — a meeting that led to a marriage of 48 years. In 1963, they moved to Akron, Ohio, where Don completed his education and the couple made their home. Early in her career, Rosalie worked at a bank before dedicating herself to raising her family. As a devoted mother and housewife, she immersed herself in her children's lives — volunteering at their schools, driving carpools, and taking them to Hebrew school, dance lessons, and baseball practices. Later, she returned to the workforce as a teacher's aide at the JCC Preschool and later worked at the Petite Store in Merriman Valley. She also volunteered with Stewart's Caring Place and The American Cancer Society Discovery Shop. Rosalie was known for her vibrant personality and quick wit. She took pride in her appearance—often dressed in classic black-and-white outfits with her signature red lipstick and kept an inviting home. She enjoyed walking outdoors, playing mahjong with friends, and spending time visiting with those close to her. In later years, Rosalie moved to Friendship Village in Dublin, Ohio to be closer to her son and grandchildren. Though initially hesitant about the change, she quickly became known for her lively conversations with staff and residents. Even as the Alzheimer's disease progressed and she transitioned to Rowan House Memory Care, her spirited nature continued to shine through.

Rosalie is lovingly remembered by her daughter Bari and son Marc; their respective spouses, Charlie Popkin and Stephanie Crigger; grandchildren Jared, Collin, Hallie, and Chloe; brother Morry Heller and sister-in-law Susie; along with many lifelong friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Don Crigger in 2011.

A memorial service will be held on June 8th at 1pm at Beth El Congregation, 750 White Pond Dr, Pond Drive Akron, Ohio. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Family and friends are invited back to Beth El Congregation for a meal of consolation. May Rosalie's memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
