Robert Coleman Parker

It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my husband, Robert Coleman Parker.

Robert passed away on July 22, 2025 after a long illness, having just turned 72 on the same day. He was home, in hospice, with me, Shellie Levine Parker, his wife and his dog Ziggy who was also very important to him.

Robert moved to Akron in 2016 along with Shellie and Ziggy, to create a new happy home. He became an integral part of the Jewish community here, working for the Jewish Federation as a driver for people to go to medical appointments. He also drove Uber and Lyft in Akron, which allowed him to really learn the lay of the land here. He learned to love Akron and the surrounding areas.

Robert will always be remembered by his wife, Shellie Levine Parker as a loving partner and husband. He was a good man and devoted to me. I will always love him and know that he no longer has cancer. He can now walk as he always wanted to.

Rabbi Moshe Sasonkin will conduct graveside service Thursday at 2 pm at Anshe Sfard Cemetery, 310 Swartz Road in Akron. Shiva will be at the home of Shellie Levine Parker, 1388 Neil Evan Drive, Akron, Ohio 44313 on Thursday after the service at the cemetery until 7:00 pm and on Friday from 2:00 until 6:00 pm.
