Frieda N. Gerin, 96, passed away February 24, 2023. Frieda was born in Akron June 5, 1926 to the late David and
Lily Nelson.

She loved spending time with her family, attending their sporting events and was well known for her M&M Cookies.


Preceded in death by her first husband Joseph Gerin, second husband Sol Shwartz, son Stuart Gerin, brother Max Nelson, sister Elsie Pren and brother Milton Nelson, she is survived by sons Lee (Elena) Gerin of Copley, Daniel (Patricia) Gerin of Warren; grandsons Jacob and Joseph, Sean and Ryan Gerin; sister Anna Mae Shepler; brother James Nelson; daughter-in-law Marcia Gerin, and host of other relatives and friends.

Rabbi Joshua Brown will conduct the funeral service Tuesday at 1 PM at Gordon Memorial Home, 1260 Collier Road in Akron. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Parkinsons Foundation, MS Society or a charity of your choice.
