Betty Eileen Levinson

Betty Eileen Levinson, born June 19, 1932 passed away on May 2, 2026.

She was predeceased by her parents, Sol and Sarah Levinson, brothers, Gustav (Lydia) and Harold; sisters, Jeanette and Trudy Loeb (William).

She was a graduate of Buchtel High School, the University of Michigan (BA) and the University of Akron (MA). She worked for many years in Cleveland and New York, but returned to Akron due to the ill health of her mother. She then worked for the City of Akron Private Industry Council until her retirement in 1993. She relocated to Florida for many years, traveled widely, but always considered Akron home.

She is survived by nieces and nephew and many friends. She also wanted to give thanks to her “Team Betty” friends, the Gardens of Western Reserve Hospice, and her caregivers.

At her request, she will be buried alongside her family members at Rose Hill Cemetery following private graveside services. There will be no calling hours or shiva. Any memorial contributions should be made to Beth El Congregation or the charity of your choice.
